LRGC wins the CPGA award for the best kept Gigs.
The CPGA oversees and represents the south west’s sixty sea rowing gig clubs. Over the last year
they have been assessing which Club has the best presented boats, scrutinising how well they are maintained and
looked after at race events. Lyme Regis won because of the superb way in which Rebel and Black Ven are looked after
by the Club’s Bosun, Chris Waller and the team, Chris Douglas, Jeff Legge, Chris Clipson and Gail McGarva, and all the
competitive rowing teams who fussed over our boats when they were away racing last year.
