Situated on the renowned World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast, Lyme Regis Gig Club is an sea rowing club which offers the rapidly growing sport of Cornish Pilot Gig Rowing to the community.​ The Lyme Regis Gig Club was founded in 2007. Starting with one boat – Rebel, launched in 2008. Black Ven was built and launched the following year. The club’s membership goes from strength to strength and their success in competitions is growing.

The Gig Club now has 4 beautiful wooden boats, Rebel, Black Ven, Tempest and Ammonite, along with Daring and Prospero, the clubs two GRP training boats.  We also have a wooden skiff Gale Force for adults and young rowers between eight and twelve years of age.

​The Club also offers members SeaFit, a year round, dry-land training facility equipped with ergo rowing machines and weights.

The aim of the club is to offer the sport of Cornish Pilot Gig Rowing to anybody who wishes to try sea rowing, and by doing so, encouraging fitness and spirit within the community.
